False Systems / Manifesto

Rigor.
Care.
Form.

Computing as craft: function considered carefully, authority made explicit, and work given a life beyond the machine.

We build for people and agents working together. The challenge is not simply to make more things happen. It is to make work continuous, authority accountable, and the record worth trusting.

01 / Independent

The witness sits
outside the agent.

The agent does not author the observation. A transcript may be useful; it is not an independent account of what happened.

02 / Honest

Partial observation
stays visibly partial.

Every record states its capture quality. A system should describe what it knows, distinguish what it infers, and refuse to hide the limits of either.

03 / Portable

The organization
owns the harness.

Agent vendors remain interchangeable. The work, its authority, and its evidence should not depend on loyalty to one worker or one model.

04 / Durable

The machine
was never the work.

Processes come and go. Work has resources, relationships, unfinished state, and a history. Build around that continuity.

A working position
Move at agent speed.
Keep authority and accountability under your control.

The principles above carry forward our existing commitments to independent, honest, portable infrastructure.

Ideas need
an implementation.
